Don't know if any of you can get this kind of thing but i thought i'd try anyway.
We need a VERY SECURE fireproof cabinet of some sort to store all the paper copies of our staff records in. We dont want a cheap metal filing cabinet as we are now being made to hold loads of information on staff that obviously they dont want stolen.
Can anyone recommend or even quote for something like this?
Thanks

sure can fella,
info as below,
Secure DIN has a double wall construction, insulated with fi re-resistance material in accordance with DIN 4102. The traditional 3-way moving bolt-work (three horizontal and two vertical bolts) contributes to the overall security of the cabinet. Because of its limited weight, the Secure DIN can easily be placed in any user environment.
The cabinet is equipped as standard with a high security Mauer key lock (Class A, ECB•S / ENV 1300 approved) supplied with two keys. Provision is made to mount a second lock (key or electronic) for specific customer requirements.
The Secure DIN cabinets will complement any office environment in colour, design and fi nish. They have a sophisticated modern look and are supplied in two-tone colour powder coated finish of light grey and dark grey.

I think document safes are less fireproof than data safes - we have a Datacare 2000 safe, if that's any help. Note that, in fire-proof terms, the more VERY SECURE something is, the more VERY HEAVY it is, so plan how you'll get the cabinet or safe to where you want it.
I think you can get fire-proof filing cabinets that you can then add an extra insulated drawer to to add fire-proof data storage, which might be a good way of having both paper and data storage.

26th November 2009, 12:13 PM #15 Looking for something with the internal space of :
width: 730mm
Depth: 480mm
Height: 1000mm
But they are only rough dimensions, it can go bigger than that (but not much)
I'd need 2 full width suspense file racks and 1 shelf towards the top.
Also, it will need to be located on the 1st floor so I'm guessing whoever would need to come out and quote just on the delivery alone.
