Okay - I've added a link back to the main company website in the info section of the footer that appears on every page:

How to qualify for your personal VeryPC educational discount

We've been thinking about how to keep the recently announced EduGeek personal education discount safe from abuse. We realised that unscrupulous non education customers who find out about it might create an EduGeek account and claim to work for a school in an attempt to take advantage of the saving despite not qualifying for it. If this happened a lot, we'd have to withdraw the offer, and we don't want that to happen, so to keep it special for you we will be using a simple verification process as follows.

Put simply, we'll need to receive messages from both your educational work email and your EduGeek account. The easiest way to do this is either of the following two methods:

    1. Send an EduGeek PM to @VeryPC_Tom_B (our Sales Manager) with your professional contact details including work email. We'll send a quick message to the email address provided which you just have to reply to.
    2. Or, using your work email, send an email to sales@very-pc.co.uk with your professional contact details and EduGeek username. We'll send you a quick PM for you to reply to.

That's it. After verification, we can then communicate by any method you like, so if you want to use your personal email address for your personal purchases, that's fine.

I'm sure you can all see that this quick verification step will help to protect the exclusivity of the offer, and I hope that you don't think it will prove to be too inconvenient.

Remember this is not just a webshop thing - the discount will apply to any VeryPC computer product that we can provide, including any customisations not listed on our online shop.

Now it's just up to you to take advantage of this awesome offer.

    Clean and Fresh!
Not too much colour easy on the old eyes with the back ground colour and the use of the diagonal lines.
    Top job.

I've seen more than a few incidents of that just causing more spam from people trying to inflate their post count, so that it meets the minimum.

I clearly have a real prolem with the world problem (corrected now) - thanks for that. However we're now showing off the new online shop (shop.very-pc.co.uk) rather than the main company website (www.very-pc.co.uk).

The real point is a discount for those who work in education IT, so you can personally benefit from the same great prices as your school, but we also want to say thanks to the EduGeek users (both active and passive) for being such a great community and communication tool for us too. We won't differentiate between someone with 1,000 posts and a pure lurker with 0 posts, as long as they work in education IT.

    Thanks for the suggestion though.
