Do they really use beeswax in gummy sweet making?
"Ingredients: Glucose syrup, sugar, fruit juice from concentrate (3%), citric acid, gelling agent: pectin, hydrolysed pea protein, fruit and vegetable concentrates (grape, blackcurrant, elderberry, apple, safflower), flavourings (strawberry, cherry, raspberry and grape), glazing agent: beeswax."

Makes 'em look pretty though eh?!

Still better than the other Percy Pigs which have real pig in them!

It's not when I really consider it, but I think the sources of stuff we use every day are pretty fascinating - especially in today's world when so many of us are so far separated from that end of the production process.

Indeed. Carmine [a food coloring] is made from crushed bugs. [Ok, that's ONE source of it.]

Next time you're enjoying some vanilla ice cream, consider this ingredient:

    Castoreum

    What it really is:
anal glad secretions and urine from a beaver
This ingredient is commonly found in vanilla ice cream and raspberry flavored foods.
