The Bridge - New Series BBC

The Bridge is a new crime drama in much the same vein as The Killing (similar music, region and bleak atmosphere). The first episodes were shown on Saturday night as a double bill, and it rocked! The story starts with a body found on a bridge linking Sweden and Denmark at the exact border point, and gripped us from the word go. Its in Swedish and Danish but is subtitled however I find that being in the original language just adds to the atmosphere. It's repeated tonight at 11pm on BBC 4 and is on the iPlayer here: BBC iPlayer - The Bridge: Episode 1
It wouldn't surprise me to see a US remake of this in the near future.
Oh, and I see that season two of The Killing starts next week as well

I wasn't impressed with the first couple of episodes. The female lead is seriously wierd, even by Scandinavian standards. I've started getting into it with episode 3 but I have to wonder if the sex scene with the bloke she picks up in a bar was strictly necessary?
