Two new films I want to see.

    1. Apollo 18. I never knew this film was coming out until I saw it on the side of a bus the other day! Loks a bit Blair-Witch-in-space-ish, which schould be good.

    2. The Darkest Hour. Another alien invasion movie? Yes please, keep 'em coming.

Edited to add: Doesn't that gun look like something from Half Life?

they dont look bad at all. as long as the darkest hour doesn't have a stupid reason for dying like independance day. these aliens seem to be using energy, so whats the betting the way to kill them will be something like a teenager hacker saying "what about if we reverse polarity on the sub routes" and each alien dies

    Hope it's the grav gun!

    Similar note

Watched Battlefield LA at t'weekend...apart from 2 glaring errors (Aaron Eckhart and Michelle Rodriguez) I didn't think it was that bad.

Blatantly cashing in on the COD Generation, but suitably hectic and well paced.

Was quite excited when I saw an ad for Apollo 18 in SFX, but the trailer failed to excite me. "Darkest Hour" looked much better and the concept is intriguing.

If we're talking about movies that may be slipping under the radar, how about Ra. One?

I'm not saying it looks good but it certainly looks like it may be a bit different!

Bollywood definitely seems to be increasing production budgets! It does look like a sort of "Tron in our world" type film, but might be good (if he stops half way through to do a bit of Bhangra I'm off!)

Your Memories are just a glitch

RL7 is an eight foot tall combat robot. Only problem is he's starting to remember once being human. Now on the run from an all powerful corporation that will stop at nothing to destroy him RL7 desperately searches for the truth behind his mysterious memories before it's too late.

Directed by Aaron Sims, starring Robert Joy (Land of the Dead, CSI: NY) and David Anders (Heroes, 24).

Sound a bit 'Robocop' to me?
Still. 8 Foot tall combat robots rock!!!

Edited to add: I recognise that music. It's an icelandic band I saw open for Sigur Ros a couple of years back (who's name escapes me ATM). They were very, very good. And I brought their CD

**Got it! They were called For a Minor Refection: http://foraminorreflection.com/home/

Sounds intriguing, but the trailer doesn't really explain what the film is about.

Er actually it's adagio in D minor, by John Murphy - originally in 'Sunshine' but also used in everything from Kickass to Fringe

    Earthling's recommendations:

The Guard - Ein Ire sieht schwarz (2011) - IMDb

    IMDb - Page Eight (2011)

I watched Bad Teacher the other night, too, lmao'd, don't normally like comedies, but it was good. Either it was good or it was Cameron Diaz, one of the two.
