Snap, watched both when I was well below the age on the R label, now I find it hard to be freaked out by movies as they are very close to comedies most of the time, they both rely on false assumptions and timing. When you view them like that it is just difficult to see them as scary.

Edit: oh, and zombie threads, they an be scary

Nightmare on Elm street dont know why as Horror films don't usually bother me too much but the first time I watched this really spooked me second time round I was fine, I did watch it on my own with no one else in the house so may have had something to do with it.

Not the tripe remake either, scared logs outta me.

At 9 years old I hadn't seen anything like it!

Friday 13th. The first one. Right at the very end when Jason leaps out if the lake. Needed new underwear shortly afterwards. And when I say first one, I mean the 1980 edition. Always liked Cunningham and Cravens stuff.

    Horror films aren't scary.

Scary films are like The Net, and the Enemy of the State - films that make you realise how much you can be manipulated by those in power. Those scare me.

Believe it of not, a Disney film - "The Watcher in the Woods", only film to give me nightmares (I was 5 or 6 at the time).
The Japanesse version of The Ring was creepy and theres a scene in Independence day that gets me every time (even though I know its coming!)

Actually somewhat oddly possibly, "What Dreams May Come" creeps me out given its depiction of various aspects of the afterlife.
