Anyone want a Citroen Xantia? 2.0HDi 77k Lovely and comfortable due to legendary hydro-elastic suspension. PM if at all interested!
My bro has been given a BMW by his new employer and offered me his Saab.
I wanted a Boxster, but the £900 service costs put me off, even Network Managers have to draw the line somewhere. The Z4 is almost as much fun as a Boxster, albeit a lot slower unless you go for the 3.0. You should try one......
In fact, I test drove several MX5's before settling on the Z4. My biggest problem with the new MX5 was not being able to get a good driving position otherwise I would have bought one, despite the 'hairdresser' comments.
I have never worried about what people think of what I drive.... I have read that the Z4 is something of a 'gay' icon in the US....
For me it's a great drive, and dropping the roof on a fine day brings a smile to your face. I have lost count of how many times I have ended up with a scorched scalp though, being follically challenged.
My wife refuses to let me wear a baseball cap..... says I am too old...
Same here that's why i drove a Hyundai for 3 years. As for scorched scalp try taking of your sun glasses off when you have been out for a afternoon drive in the summer!have never worried about what people think of what I drive..
Kids, white glasses marks are seriously uncool.
I drive bangers...heh..Had 2 Maestro Autos, currently got this:
A nice, very tidy 102k Astra 1.6 Automatic. It's an ex-motability Merit spec, so electric nothing, basic of basics. Suits me! 2 week tank as well.
I was considering the estate - it seems to be a common "techie" theme, but it's got plenty of hauling room anyway.
The most expense I've had was a £260 head gasket change and full service after we did a landy-esqe "ford crossing" with water coming up the bonnet. The rest is just £25 tyres, and £15 services.
I had a 2.0 diesel Maestro because I towed a humping great boat trailer for School Sailing. I have to say it was excellent. Performance was about the same with or without the trailer. We now have a towbar on the minibus so I got myself a Daihatsu Sirion. Just coming up to three years old and 9500 miles on the clock.
Hairdresser's may get paid less, but they get tax free tips, they go a loooong way!
Mmm...2.0 tuned Perkins Prima TD..heh...good fun. Mate had an ex-plod Maestro with one of those in..excellent on the motorway, and serious fun at traffic lights..
I bought myself a private reg last week.. JO04NEL pretty chuffed, but need to wait for the paperwork
i posted a post before about my car... i felt that people didn't need to hear it again :P
