At moment my net connect at home is down after long argument with aol said that is it and moved away from aol and going to freedom to surf..
Anyway as aol decided to be picky and cancel my account i have no connection
anyway just be aware might take few days for me to answer emails etc etc

as when signed up for them only isp who took direct debt that is now not an issue so moving
Its like trying to exorcise a demon switching from AOL. I had a neighbour who went through multiple hoops trying. Then you have to strip out all of the crud that they made him put on his PC. Nasty.

entered mac code on freedom 2 surf then got migrate date of 19th phoned up need net before then right ok no problem sir but will need to cancel this migration and redo it as bt have set the date..
ok no problem but need new mac code from aol as other mac can only be used once
so far so good no of this freedom 2 suff fault how bt run the system..

aol: certainly you will get it emailed in 48 hours no need it over phone we cant do that

aol: ok will put you thorugh to department that got you the code last night as they must have some secret knowledge that we don’t

aoll : well person you where dealing with is not working and I do not know anything go back to pervious department..
i go around in circles for a bit getting more annoyed and angrier..
aol: (in sarcy voice) well ok put you through to ofcom who will tell you it takes 48 hours the previous code must of be wrong (even through it works)

on hold gets transferred to customer services
me:- can I go back to cancels department
aol: - ok

on hold for ages

at this point i blow my top

all this while aol phone system keeps cutting me off..
AOL : ok
aol billing manager:- ok cant do anything put you through to cancelation department
me: - can you make sure it is a manager
aol billing manager: - they are refusing to take you call

After all that my gf will still be annoyed as she will lose her pogo badges this week she will have to try and find net connection (work) to feed her moppets or they die..
but level of service between aol and freedom 2 surf major difference nothing was a problem for f2s...
if asked aol to cancel migration they would have said no and that it is
so started this 9:30 and now sorted at 13:00
AOL have two members of staff who know what they are doing one is off and other in Ireland with no hope of average joe being able to get in touch.
It looks good for AOL. If you can't contact the complaints dept then there cannot be any complaints and everyone is happy
At one point AOL were actually fastest for diallup around here - you still wouldn't recommend them though...
I used to think they were ok for novices and old ppl...
objective view on aol if running ok and doing nothing from stanadard great isp....
but anything else then it is aolhell
here we go now back online checked before i went to work..
how much you paying now? did u still have to pay the final month with aol. I hope after that russ that they'd wave that one after all the hassle (but then again, pig will fly no doubt )
well hopefly they will but will fight that one if they try...
would be a lot easier to back up your stuff and just format your machine and re install everything including drivers.
AOL = very bad virus !!! LOL
