    Make me an 80's album

I got a bit sentimental earlier today after hearing a track by the Thompson Twins on the radio, so I thin I'm going to make up an 80's MP3 album. So if you can recommend any tracks (only up to 1985 please) from the first half of the 80's that can be brought DRM free from Amazon et al that would be very good. After 85 it satrted to get a bit Stock, Aitkin and Waterman with mass produced 'puppet' acts. Anyway, over to you.

Nice, I am leaning toward a bit more UK acts such as Thompson Twins, OMD, Nik Kershaw etc. I tend to have most of those from various 80's albums which are US acts heavy. There tended to be a bit more care from pop acts in the early 80's when they actually had to play their own instruments and write their own material!

Don't forget Queen put out a lot of stuff in the 80s.

Make sure you get some New Order in there.

EDIT: It's not all 80s but have a look at this compilation. It's one of my most listened to albums.
