One question I had hope that the show would wrap up for me was the survival of Baltar - he was the one that survived a nuclear blast when Six didn't. I would have like to see him as a 13th cylon...or something.

it one of those unaswered questions, every series has one. and even if the body of 6 saved As far as i can tell the blast that hits that place wasnt a hot one just a blast wave that smashed things up. so six got filled with shards of wood and glass protecting baltar

I take it you are referring to the episode where he gets caught in the blast?

Pilot episode. A bomb goes off in the hills...he looks away from the flash. A few seconds later the blastwave hits. Six dies (You see this in another later episode). He doesn't.
