I came across this tool this morning: ExifTool/ExifToolGUI

It allows the viewing/capture of metadata from images. A picture of the application in action is attached.

I have not explored the full capabilities but I thought it looked interesting enough to post here. It runs from a folder [no install] just extract the two files downloadable from this site:
