I use twitter, used to use it on a regular basis, then I followed too many people and got bombarded with emails
I don't have that much to share with other people at the moment though.

I use it. Good for updating facebook status' with![]()
I'm on there...can't garuntee the content is any good though![]()

Me too.
Also have an account for IT at the school - our helpdesk script posts to Twitter so we get updates via txt.

I'm on there too
Turned of the mobile updates and just using twitterific now.
I use twinkle as my client on my phone![]()
They've just announced that they can't afford to send texts to users in the UK any more. Shame that, I was planning to play with the twitter API to set up a quick a dirty "some pillock's unplugged the server and it's on UPS" notification system.
They did say they were continuing to negotiate and they are going to set up individual numbers in each country.
The individual numbers are those which you send a text to to update your status, rather than from which texts are sent.
I gather most of Europe has been using a +44 number, one which purports to be UK number but turns out to be in the Isle of Man, so when you text it you get charged rather than it coming out of your free text allowance.

I take back what I said in my previous post. Thanks to them withdrawing the SMS feature, we no longer get IT Support requests via txt![]()
