    Read on Neowin.net

The official version doesn't get released until 6pm BST (10am PDT), or 5pm GMT. Pointless getting it beforehand if you ask me, as otherwise it probably won't count toward the world record attempt.

It looks pretty good, downloaded and installed at home and work. Not played around with it much, but seems good.

So who tried downloading at 6pm yesterday, finally was able to download about 7:50pm.

I got it about 8.30 yesterday.

I have to say, the differences are numerous yet small enough to not shock.

The new download manager is great, the predicitive link thingy I assume will get better the more I use it, and the smart bookmarks look like a major improvement.

I've also noticed it uses less memory , anyone else seeing this?

Finally got through at 10:30 yesterday.

I like it, nice soft graphics, as you say new favourites button - smart.

Not noticed the memory - how do I check that?

What's an ideal memory usage figure for FF3?

sorry that was a rather dumb question on my part - brain in neutral (I'm off work with a back injury at the moment)

However, since I don't know how much memory Firefox2 was taking it's not much use looking at F3. But thanks anyway.

I don't know about anyone else, but I was having to restart FF2 every now and again cause of memeory issues.

I know its a bit early to say, but FF3 seems more responsive, and memory hasn't been an issue yet
