I've just initiated transfer of my phone from the Flat to the new place, for Saturday afternoon..I asked the woman "will this clear Tiscali's BB marker on the line? Only they're a sod to move from nicely...I'd rather yank the line from under them TBH and sign up for a new ISP on the new line ASAP..".
She said "Oh, yes."..
So now I need to call Tisc and cancel - they'll take one last payment, and we're out of there..hurrah!
I was dreading trying to get out of their grasp..
Tiscali continued to take 6 months worth of charges from my account after I cancelled with them once. Then they sent the threatening letters etc..
Wouldnt go with them again!
It took me a year to realise they were still charging me (I know - stupid).
Easily done tho when you trust a big company to get something right. You only make that mistake once tho dont you
Ive still got the joys to migrate from them when I get round to it, blasted buying up the ace smaller ISPs
Oh, I know all of their little tricks...I said to the woman, as soon as that last payment comes out (and she gave me the date for it), the DD is being nuked by me, and HSBC will be instructed to tell them to go forth. Heh.
The line will move on Saturday, and Jem wants to be in for Sunday...and sods law, the damned boiler has just blown the PCB, so we have no heating. Ah well, BG have promised the part will be here in a few days.
How will I cope with no internet? OMG! I think I might just...smile, and do some DIY or gardening. It's so therapeutic after using a PC all day. I feel so much less stressed this week. Make that I don't HAVE the energy to get stressed this week..
