To be honest I dont think I'll bother watching this series as the BBC has spoilt it for me by revealing too much information about it (and I'm not referring to the leaks from the USA) they keep tweeting loads of info and photos when it should be left as a surprise, they've even told us what enemies of the Doctor will be in the new series so nothing much will be a surprise!

Thought the new episode was "OK" though I didn't expect much because of the transition it will take a while to bed him in I think, I like Capaldi though, different gravitas and direction to Matt Smith's Doctor for me.

Lets hope the writing is decent for this series and not focus on stuff like we had with "Amy/Rory" in series past

I thought it was ok. Didnt like the over the top attempts at humour. I too like Capaldi and think he will make a good doctor.

A recent discussion on this site reminded me of the proof printed in SFX that this new series really will be darker:

Liked the new Episode, Steven Moffat can really turn out a great episode, all about managing fear and messed up time lines, the new series is finally hitting it's stride as far as I can se.

Doctor Who has gone through some truly dire periods of stories and writing but here we are: All still fans.

I don't think that the recent stories are as bad as some I might call to mind. I am determined to stick with it in the hope of improvement and as a result of a genuine attachment to the program and a desire for it to continue.
