It's been a month and a half now since I broke free & left my school job.
I didn't appreciate how ill my school job was making me. I squarely blame poor management coupled with a lack of recognition for the function of IT.
I now feel valued and cared for as an employee, things that stand out now as being obviously lacking from my school job.
I've seen some attractive school jobs advertised, but It's going to take some time before the hurt is forgotten and I ever consider working in a school again.
I am grateful for the job that gave me the opportunity to gain a wide experience in IT, and the great people and kids I got to work with.
I know some edugeekers are in a far better place, but this was my experience, which sort of backs up 100% what our illustrious founder was inspired to write as our site foot note.
Yeah, I forgot to ask, how is the ice cream round?![]()
Haha!
...slightly more technically demanding! :P
I'll be joining you in about 45 mins![]()

And Midget is there, and Halfmad, and one of the women (can't remember her name). Who else has left us?
Am now a fully paid up member of the Ex EduGeekers Club![]()
