I'll steer clear...its seagate! They're not exactly renowned for HDD (or SSD) longevity!

    But thanks anyway.

That's ok I know Seagate isn't to everyone's taste. Though I must say I have had a 3TB Hard Drive off them to put in my server and it's been on consistently for over a year now and not one issue. There support is fantastic aswell, it seems they have really got better as time has gone on.

Here's a link to a long term review:

with the most predictable, and consistent, long term performance of any SSD array we've tested to date.

True, but it's using the same Link-A-Media LM87800 controller as the Corsair Neutron series and it seems to be regarded as a very solid bit of kit and online reviews all seem favourable. Could be worth a punt at this price...

When the deal came out at 9:00 they had 999 in stock now just under 100 seem to be selling very well, the controller seems a sturdy choice as LosOjos pointed out and the drive has good reviews all round. Bundle that with it's 3 year Seagate warranty and 480GB capacity and you have yourself a sale my friend!

Lot's of factors to take in to account, but a quick comparison on SSD boss puts them pretty much on a par, with the Seagate scoring slightly higher (not enough to say it's particularly 'better' than the M500): Seagate 600 SSD vs Crucial M500 480 GB SATA III
