Hi all,
Would really appreciate some help on the following:
Our new head has a Mac at home and has Office on it-- I don't know any of the versions sorry-- and she keeps bringing in documents for printing on our machines. However none of our machines open them.
Have tried resaving in .rtf etc but nothing works. Any ideas?

you should still be able to open them as long as you have this installed Download Details - Microsoft Download Center - Microsoft Office Compatibility Pack for Word, Excel, and PowerPoint File Formats
You can use OpenOffice, it's free.

The compatibility pack is used to open Office 2007 and Office 2010 files (file extension ending with x like .pptx, .docx, .xlsx, etc.) on Office 2003 on PC.
He probably has t saves hem in office. RTF files are usually saves by the free text editor in mac (wordpad equivalent). But you should be able to open them no problem
