Microsoft Word will not save
We have a batch of laptops available for students to use running WinXP SP3 and Office 2003. These laptops have a 'Local User' account set for the students to use when wireless is not available. On some of these laptops, when you click on Save or Save As in MS Word nothing happens. If you close the document and click yes to save, nothing happens, if you click no the document closes, then if you click to close Word a message comes up saying changes have been made to the Global Template and do you want to save, if you say yes the message goes but Word stays open and the same appears when you click to close Word again.
This only affects the 'Local User' account, the local admin or network user accounts don't seem to have the problem. I have tried deleting the profile for 'Local User' but this has not cured the problem.
Has anyone come across this problem before, I have run all the latest Office updates but no joy.
