Deploying the Office 2007 Compatibility Pack
I'm trying to deploy this beast across the network using GP & it's not working for me!
I've d/loaded the software & extracted the files to a shared directory (the same one I use for all of my software deployment).
I've created a GPO to run the install as Assigned software (exactly the same as the other software I've deployed).
I've checked the permissions on the MSI directory/files & they're exactly the same as everything else in that folder.
However, when I reboot the machines the "installing managed software" messages appear but skip straight over the OCP installation (exactly as it does if the software is already installed).
I can log on to a machine and enter \\servername\share\subdir\O12Conv.msi in the Run box & the OCP installs with no problem.
I've even tried following the suggestions at the bottom of this page but it just doesn't seem to want to install when the machine boots up!!
Any suggestions as to where else I can look??
