    Start>Run>appwiz.cpl
    Find Microsoft Office 2010
    Click change Then Add/Remove Features
Office Shared Features > Proofing Tools> English Proofing Tools> Right click on Spelling and Grammar Checkers. Then right click Not Available. Click Contnue.

Use Word Pad. The interface in Windows 7 is close enough now to Word that students may not even notice the difference

Comparitivly in a business and general use case not providing grammer and spelling checking makes no sense. It is only in the extreme edge case of exams where they have yet to accept that in the real world all of these aids will be used anyway where this is even a possibility.
