My problem at least is not to do with concurrent connections, it's permissions.
Regardless of the fact that currently for testing purposes everyone has full control of the folder, subfolder & contents on our "Apps" drive, we get this error.
However, copy the folder over to our Shared Documents drive, and it works.
Permissions are slightly more locked down on the Shared Docs drive. The only difference is, the Shared Docs drive is visible. The Apps drive is not and direct access is disallowed via GPO.
Really don't understand it.

Please ignore. DFS/me being a muppet with permissions. Drive permissions OK - DFS permissions - all users read only! Surprised that hasn't come up before!

Maybe it has but just not noticed it before or its not been reported ?

Not noticed. It would certainly have been reported if it caused issues anywhere else. It's mostly just a drive that stores software that runs from a share/network location.
