    Excel Data Sorting

    Hi there,

I have a spreadsheet with loads of data on and that needs to be sorted by date of birth, excluding the year! The DoB's are entered as 13/06/05 (D/M/Y) but I need to sort them into just D/M.

    Can this be done?

You can use the TEXT() function to format dates and extract just the parts you are interested in. So =TEXT(<cell>, "dd/mm") should give you just the day and month.
