    Office 2007 Mail Merge Query

    Hi there,
    within Excel I have a column that has figures in it with £. ie £1,200.24

    However, when I try presenting this within a mail merge document the figures just turn into something like 120024.

    Has anyone got any pointers?

    Thanks

    In Excel, the custom number formatting of your column will be something like
    Code:
    £#,##0.00
    To check, press CTRL+1 and select Custom on the Number tab.

    To reproduce this in Word you will need to add the number formatting switch \# to your field code and add the custom number format after it.

    If ExcelColumnOfData is the name of your field, you should end up with something like:
    Code:
    { MERGEFIELD ExcelColumnOfData \# £#,##0.00 }
    (ALT+F9 to toggle view the field code in Word.)

    HTH
