Sharing Calendars with IMAP Email in Exchange

Does anyone know a way to share a calendar if using IMAP protocol in Outlook 2007?

I don't think you can via IMAP (check this - Sharing Microsoft Outlook Calendar and Contacts) - If they're using Outlook 2007 to an Exchange server, is there any reason they're not using MAPI (ie the Microsoft made method for connecting to Exchange from Outlook)? If it's due to external use of Exchange, looking into VPN or RPC over HTTP(S) may be a solution.

They're using RM EasyMail +, I was hoping to share one's calendar with another that is local within Outlook..
