    Don't suppose anybody knows a way for this to be done from Exchange or via GPO?

    I'd also be curious to know if this would be at all possible. We have an issue with our users not filling these in, and it really makes quick scanning of tickets within the HelpDesk almost impossible!!

    Poke around with transport rules (assumes exchange 2007) and tell Exchange what to do when it encounters a blank subject (^$). Example here:

    (and test it before slinging into production - regexes are unforgiving of error)

    Ah, still on 2003, thanks anyway Pete.

    User education? Haha! Cheers for the suggestion Monkey, but with this bunch I think I have more chance of convincing them to smack their heads against a wall!
