I'm having problems opening some Publisher files from the Internet - in this case, Textiles Resources, although I don't believe that to be pertinent.
I found Microsoft KB928890 which talks about changing the PromptForBadFiles reg key, but that doesn't resolve the issue.
Any further suggestions?
What version of Publisher do you have? Files on the site seem to open fine here (Office 2007) - though the spelling is somewhat suspect. Might it just be a case of versions?
Check to see if the roland or other DT sideby equipment has not taken over as we had the problem and by re-installing office it allows publisher and the DT equipment to work / print
We're having the problems in 2007 and also 2003 w/2007 compatibility pack installed. No other DT software will be affecting this, as it does it on relatively clean computers too.
Is it this problem? If so, Microsoft have published a fix which is included in the June 2009 Cumulative Update. That said, if you're using WSUS to keep Office up to date then you should have the update already.
That sounds similar, and would bear out where some people (including me from home) can access the files, but this isn't only affected office 2007 installations but also Office 2003.
