Default font across network
We currently have MS Office 2003 deployed on our network and wanted to set a default font for all office applications via group policy or similar.
I have tried searching the forums but didnít stumble across any related threads.
Even changing the default font just in Word for all users would be a bonus.

You need to edit the normal.dot template and by some means deploy it to all your users (it is stored per profile). I never did find a way of doing it within Office or GP.

Thanks for the info.
Hope this may be of some use, I managed to create a script that I added to a new group policy which runs upon login:
copy \\server\officefont$\*.* "%userprofile%\Application Data\Microsoft\Templates" /y
I simply put the Normal.dot file in the shared folder on the server. The template file is applying to all users and seems to be working ok.

Sounds like the right approach. Just be aware that if anyone wants to change normal.dot for themselves, it will be overwritten on login with the default.

If you have mandatory profiles this is easy-peasy...
It's what i did here.
Amend your profile as instructed in this thread... Creating a small mandatory profile
One of your changes needs to be to the Default font in Word.
Switch your profile back to madatory and Bob's your uncle. Everyone using that profile had the new default font
