Office 2003 crashes when ever i send to print

when ever i sent to print from any office application i.e. word or excel, it crashes saying

ms office word has encountered a problem and needs to close. we are sorry for the inconvenience.

the error message also mentions that the office application will try to recover the work. Reinstalling office didnt work and office has got all the updates on it. does any one know of a solution.

Does it crash other applications such as Adobe Reader? What about when performing a Windows test page?

It smells of a printer driver crashing the spooler. Your event log should state if the spooler service crashes.
I would probably remove all printers and then restart the Print Spooler service and then right click the printer folder that shows printers and select "Server Properties" and then the driver tab and remove them all and try adding one printer again.

Any chance you have Kyocera printers installed with different versions of the same driver?

We had a similar problem when we added a new printer to our server with an updated driver. You need to make sure that all the printers use the same version of the driver; the new driver should have drivers for your old printers too. If this is your problem you'll need to delete the kyocera printers and drivers from client machines before adding them back.
