We are moving to Office 2013 in our labs, and I was wondering what steps everyone was taking.
Our labs are controlled by DeepFreeze, and we use that to push batch files. Ive created a software install using the MS customization tools through Deployment Work Bench MDT 2012... It is suppose to uninstall all instances of office 2010, but it does not.
After setup has ran for office 2013, we still have entries for sharepoint workgroup, MS Office Tools, and Office ProPlus in Remove programs and features in control panel.
MS released a FixIt which completely removes Office. But, you cant run it silently, so i extracted the files and use the following .vbs in our batch file to remove office 2010
This script runs the setup file which points to the .msp and install office 2013. Everything works, except for when we launch the program, it says it cannot activate it. When you launch Word, it says cannot activate, if you x out of the window, it asked for 1st run setup, click recommended settings and then it says office has been activated please reboot all applications.
If you restart the computer the same process occurs. This happens whether the machine is thawed or frozen through deepfreeze.
