OFFICE 2010 / WINDOWS 7 FILE ASSOCIATIONS ISSUE
Just rolled out a suite of newly imaged Windows 7 PCs with Office 2010 and discovered that when users log in the file associations for the Office apps are borked.
They are okay for administrator.
Apparently it's a known issue and Microsoft's answer is to repair Office?!?!
Found a nice reg fix that repaired all the 60-odd associations, but it would have been nice not to have lost a couple of hours over it today
Has anyone else experienced this little gem of goodness?
A neighbouring PC suite is unaffected. Same image, just slighty different spec PC and install date.
I hate Microsoft.
