Hi Everyone,
I was just browsing through the active directory today (as you do) and I found all of the built in Microsoft Administrative Templates have been removed from all GPO's.
Even if I create a GPO from scratch I still find they are missing. :doh:
Instead of Computer Config\Admin templates\System etc there is now just Research Machines.
Has anyone else came across this?
This may be a big issue for us as we often create custom GPO's
RM want you to use the RMMC for management.

Indeed but RM don't support going directly into AD (as much as it's a pain!) so this is why they've probably removed the said templates.Quote:

CC4 has its own Active Directory. The CC4 directory synchronises regularly with the Microsoft one. They explained this in detail at the CC4 training course.
I would ask RM first before making any changes in case you screw up the directory synchronisation.

I'm being careful at the moment I've created a workstation type through the RMMC which is a clone of "Shared Laptop" and i'm editing that if theres a problem I can just delete it through RMMC.Quote:

How are you creating it? If you make a new one in GPMC the new GPO should have the standard bunch of ADMs associated with it.Quote:

It's not the only solution, but all things considered it's a LOT easier than the GPO method. Get some of those bouncy pensticks with the rubber casing and attach them to easily findable lumps of dayglo plastic or something.Quote:
