OK... LOADS of info on the web for how to configure this but I have one tiny question that I can not find the answer to...
For bare metal deployment you need a server running WDS. Simple enough... until you realise that you only want to use WDS for Virtual Machine Manager (VMM). I want to know if the VMM server can also act as the WDS server - i.e. both roles on the same server.
Without finding time to test it, I don't know if it works but I see no reason for it not to. Has anybody tried this or does anyone know if this is a supported configuration?

14th November 2011, 07:33 PM #2 I've done this with SCVMM 2008 and can't see why it can't be done with 2012. It's as straight forward as it seems and works very well. Don't know if it's supported, but I wasn't too concerned with that as it was purely a testing exercise.

15th November 2011, 10:28 AM #3 @riffleman Thanks for that... all the documentation does seem a little too simple which is what made me think twice. We just need some time (and a server) to set this up now.
