Custom .wim image will not import into Deployment Workbench

    Hi,
Iíve had a look around several forums and found some people with this similar problem but no solutions yet.
I have created a thick ďgoldenĒ image that I want to deploy to several computer labs. Itís a Win7Ent x64 with 2 partitions. Iíve tried to capture it with imagex on boot PE and tried using the tsmbautorun.exe from the capture.iso from SCCM. Both seem to create the wim file fine, however when I try to import this into the Deployment Workbench I get no errors and it does appear in the folder structure of the deployment share, but it doesnít show in the available operating systems on the workbench. Therefore I canít create a task sequence and deploy it.
It has happened a couple of times now with different images; however, I have successfully imported other wim images Iíve built with no problems. Anyone else have this problem and found a solution?

Have you set the flags. When capturing with imagex if using MDT you need to add flags. Imagex /capture stuff.wim c: "stuff" /FLAGS "ENTERPRISE"

Your dual partitions bit may also be messign it a bit. Better to do two seperate images and use a script or MDT to deploy. WDS may not be seeing the OS partition first or not understand which partition to apply.

Thanks for quick reply Synack. I can try deleting D partition of one of the images to see if that helps. However, I do have an image created using the tsmbautorun.exe which doesn't give you the option of flags, just syspreps and generalises. This only has the one partition, and still doesn't show in the workbench but it is in the deployment share folders.

Yea the WDS capture one is not designed directly for use with MDT.
