    Question System restore and sysprep

    Hi all,

I'm almost finished creating a xp universal image using sysprep and fog but have a question that you guys might be able to help me with. When I deploy a sysprepped xp image, system restore is enabled even though it is disabled. After a little googling it seems this is by design so I tried adding this line to the [guirunonce] section of my sysprep file:

wmic /namespace:\\root\default path SystemRestore call Disable %SystemDrive%\

but it didn't disable system restore. Does anyone know what is the best way to do this?

    Thanks

In windows 7 you can place a file in c:\windows\setup\scripts\setupcomplete.cmd to run commands after sysprep, not sure if it works with windows xp.

Can't you disable system restore using group policy?

Yeah, I was thinking of doing that instead, probably easier than trying to run a script during setup.

    thanks
