    Okay. I put a .htaccess file in the /var/www directory and one in the /var/www/fog directory (as well as one in the /opt/fog directory). No errors were thrown on the website.

    I'm including the error.log as a text file: error.txt. Hopefully this will help in some way.

    A gist of it is that a lot of stuff seems to just not exist... nor does it seem to get made when I install following the directions in the wiki.

    I would say fog is not installed properly, if you delete the fog settings that someone mentions further up the thread, rename the www/fog to fogold anfd the same in the opt dir, and run the installfog.sh again.

    I got it! Thanks for the support, everyone.

    I did a full uninstall/reinstall. When I went to edit the /var/www/fog/commons/config.php file, I think I accidentally entered in the password in the define( "DB_PASSWORD", MYSQL_PASSWORD );

    Then when I tried by making the fog db, it screwed everything up.

    On an aside, is it okay to delete the default user now that it's installed and I created a user or is that a no-no?

    I know some programs rely on the default user they create... and I just got this working; I don't want to break it already.

    Fog does rely on the default user. It uses it for FTP tasks( image renaming etc)

    As a security buff, that kinda bothers me.

    So, I can't delete the "username: fog
    password: password" account...

    Can I change it's password?

    The ubuntu user fog password password needs to stay as it is.

    You can remove the console user fog as that does nothing.
