Flash, Shockwave and other bits and pieces...

Not strictly OS deployment, but this category seemed like the closest match.

I'm in the process of rebuilding and updating our images and wondered how other people deal with things like Flash and various other players and readers that are prone to regular updates.

Do you build them into the images, and if so, how do you update them if required?

If you leave them out of the images, is there a managable way to deploy them afterwards and keep them up to date?

I've just started using WPKG for flash and java. Seems to work fairly well, the only problem is it doesn't report back issues.

    I have MSI for:

    Acrobat Reader 9.3
    Flash Player 10
    Shockwave 11
    Java [Update 20]
    Adobe Air

I intend updating these as they are all versions that are out of date but they work well enough at the moment.

Just came across Ninite the other day from Lifehacker. Not sure about use in educational environment and have not had time to test it.
