Updating FOG client
Hi guys
I updated our FOG server from 0.28 to 0.29 and am loving some of the new features.
My only issue currently is how do I upgrade the clients with the 0.28 FOG clients to the 0.29 FOG client?
I've noticed that using the FOG 0.28 client does most things but it breaks the green FOG service that turns off the computers at a set time.
We are running a server 2003/XP professional network.
Thanks guys

11th October 2010, 08:28 AM #2 You can use the 'FOG Client Service Updater'.
Press the 'i' on the web interface, and then choose 'Client Updater'. I haven't used it yet as I've only just started using the service, but I presume you just upload the new service components and the clients will download them and use them on the next service start.

Thanks Morganw,
Has anyone used this service before? And know what files to upload to it? I'm scared I'll upload the wrong files and nuke the clients :P
Cheers

FOGUserGuide - FOGProject Wiki
If you wanted to test I guess you could try not using the client updater, just stop the service on a workstation, manually replace the files in C:\Program Files\Fog, then restart the service.
