WDS Seems to be taking an age to image machines, 4 machines may take almost a day, and a full classroom even longer. Is there a way to speed up deployment or is it just one of those things which can take a while?

Turn off multicast.. worked for me - image times went down from 3 hours to 20 minutes..
Start "Windows Deployment Services" from "Administrative Tools". Browse to and expand "Multicast transmissions", right-click your deployment name and select "Deactivate".
Thanks for that, but Multicase isn't enabled, I'm just thinking that maybe the image size are massive and its going to take a while.

Well, how big is the image?
Have you tried a PC connected to the same switch as the WDS server for speed?
Is the switching gigabit, is it capable of multicast?
