Currently im going through this: How to build a Windows PE [Vista] CD/DVD that contains Ghost32.exe and then join a client machine to a Ghost Cast Server session to create or restore an image file.
I'm at the stage where it's telling me to add vista (or windows 7 presumably) drivers, do i just use any random driver and hope for the best? or is there something i should be using? they don't explain themselves very well!

Ah ok, not sure on that as haven't used the pxe drivers for ghost, only standard drivers.

I thought it was the NDIS2 driver or something along those lines.

1st February 2010, 09:10 AM #6 Ended up downloading the standard realtek drivers and even on a board with a different chip version (tested on purpose) it still works!
Now have 3 boot options when F12 is pushed:
Capture
Discover
Ghostcast
Capture and discover for windows 7 deployment and ghostcast for deploying all our current XP images until we move to windows 7 in the summer
Now i have one vital question though....how do i make this passworded? at the moment if i left network boot on and a kid restarted a PC they could easily go straight through the nice unattended windows 7 install without any authentication at all! (F12, enter, enter.... next thing they know there loading in to a windows 7 desktop
)

1st February 2010, 09:10 AM #7 You need the vista netword card drivers for every pc you are going to use it on.
As it's booting windows pe based on vista and then loading 32 bit ghost.
