Hi All,
I have 10 Acer Aspire M3800's that i need to get working with fog. although the desktops PXE boot and see fog, whenever i try and inventory them i get the fog loading process telling me that there are no network devices availble and then errors out because fog does not see the network card. equally when i try to image these machines they end up queing even though there is nothing else in the que.
I have updated the BIOS on the desktops and we are using the latest version of fog (0.28).
These machines are using the Intel 82567v-2 gigabit network card.
Any help appreciated.

NO-one have any ideas?
that happens on these new aspire m3802s we just got
even installed an uptodate fog server (on one of the machines) to try to get it to work ~ 0.29 on ubuntu 10.04 ~ but still NO! (old fog is 0.26 on 9.04)
we think the problem is the lan driver inside the fog client kernel. ubuntu natively uses a e1000e driver on these. Theres an 'fog kernel update' option on the "about" menu in the fog software but it appears to do nothing.
from posts on the proper fog forum there's an alternative client kernel....somewhere.
update: if you're behind a proxy you have to manual download a different kernel from the sourceforge place where you downloaded fog and then replace bzImage with it.

given up on kernels, can get the working ps kernel to boot from the pxe menu for computer registration but totally can't get the "host kernel" field to work for imaging. almost worked changing bzImage but then it got stuck and couldn't find the image file....
Clonezilla boot cd to samba share just works (woot!) but trying to get clonezilla to boot from pxe is horrible. it seems to work, until it detects the local drives and then stalls on
