You can update FOG by wget the new version (just like it was a new installation) but the setup updates your files without loosing your settings!

ALWAYS back up your fog server to a 1:1 image using some 3rd party software before you go crazy with upgrades / updates. Not to be paranoid, but I've seen issues @ times.

I had to recopy my custom pxeboot menu back from backup. Other than that it was fine.
True, the TFTP folder gets wiped out... except on 0.28 which was a request of mine. It now appends it instead of over writing it.
In the installation directory there should be a util folder. In there there's an sh in there called fogupdater.sh Run that and you should be ok. If using Ubuntu you have to sudo run it.
At least that's how I do it. Of course back everything up first!
Ta for that. For future reference, the updater is in /opt/fog-setup/fog_0.31/utils/FOGUpdater/
That's on a 0.31 installation, change fog_(version) to whatever you're currently on. If you're behind a proxy you'll probably need to inform wget about it (can't remember the details).
