24th October 2009, 05:50 PM #16 Ahhhh...the penny drops! Think I have it now, Normal server to be set so that it points to FOG for any requests for PXE booting, FOG takes over then and allows the client to boot of the network, with any other client booting on the same network using our normal servers DHCP. Think it was a case of me getting PXE and DHCP a bit mixed up. Just a quick question (again probably my lack of knowledge of PXE and DHCP) which server issues the IP, FOG or DHCP? If I'm thinking correct, its DHCP issues the IP and then boots from FOG's PXE software.

yep, thats pretty much the process.
on a windows dhcp server, you set option 66 to the ip of the fog server and dhcp option 67 to the filename of the file (pxelinux.0) that brings up the fog pxe menu where you can image machines.
hope this helps
