Is it possible to transfer or use images made in Norton Ghost to FOG at all?
For each of your images you will have to image a machine with Ghost then pull the image back with FOG. It's probably best to run FOG and Ghost side by side for a while and just do this when you actually have to image a machine. To facilitate this here I've included ghost as a PXE boot option on the FOG menu.
the easist way would be to deploy the images 1 at a time to a vm and then image that machine from fog, without booting the image at all
Not sure I agree about the VM. VMs and imaging software run very slow together in my experience.
Do it on a spare machine instead.
I added a menu option that boots up a customised NetBootDisk floppy image. This in turn connects to a Windows share containing the Ghost client (Ghost sets this up when you install it on the Server IIRC) and runs it.
Wouldnt happen to have a newbie, step-by-step guide anywhere would ya?![]()
No sorry.
