Hi guys,
I've got FOG running on a HP ProLiant ML110 Server using Ubuntu 9.04 Desktop.
I've just purchased 60ish laptops for Staff and Classroom deployments, each with the SIS191 V1.3 NIC's on board.
I've pulled an image from one of the 60 laptops and pushed it out to a couple of machines to prove it works (not of the 60).
I can pull an image from the laptop using the FOG PXE Boot Text Menu (the GUI just flashes by and starts to load Windows).
When I try to deploy that image back to either the same Laptop or another of the 60ish it goes through the motions, but just seems to sit on the blue screen which says 'Please Wait.....' and a blinking cursor down in the bottom right of the screen and nothing else happening.
Has anyone had a similar problem, any idea for a fix / workaround (I've tried all the stuff from the FOG Forums and Wiki) or know of another way of booting the laptop like from a USB Key etc.
I have also asked in the FOG Forums.
Cheers,
Simon.

22nd June 2009, 11:53 AM #2 have you tried using single disk multiple partition option for the image? i had to set one of my setups to that as it would refuse to image on single disk single partition

I now get

Unable to locate image store.
Computer will reboot in 1 minute."

23rd June 2009, 09:08 AM #4 i had a problem where the images werent bieng moved on the fog machine post upload. If you look in /images there should be your image file, if not it will be in /images/dev and have the mac address of the machine that uploaded it as a file name

The TestImage is in the /images folder.

24th June 2010, 03:56 PM #8 I've always had issues with SIS network cards when it comes to Linux. Please go though the driver troubleshooting on the fog forums first (the output of the config is what we need to get started) - FOGUserGuide - FOGProject Wiki
You can also request the NIC to be added to the kernel development (ask on the fog forums after you get the lspci -k output)
