How to active Windows + Office when complete?
Hi,
We have to use a proxy in our school so windows doesnt activate itself on install.
I have created in the task sequence a few command line tasks that add the proxy in which works but i then added another two command line tasks which i set to
cscript.exe c:\windows\system32\slmgr.vbs /ato
and
cscript "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office14\ospp.vbs" /act
These are set to run after the proxy has been set.
Can anyone think why this isnt working?
Thanks
Update: Found out that once its joined to the domain it requires a domain admin to activate, local admins can no longer do it. Just have to try and find a way round that now.

30th November 2012, 12:18 PM #2 Have you tried the Volume Activation Management Tool from MS?
Download: VAMT 2.0 - Microsoft Download Center - Download Details
We use this to activate Win7 machines on our CC4 network and it works a treat. Install it on the FRDC, make sure your PCs are switched on and connected to teh network, scan and then activate any that need it.

Thanks,
That could be the solution.
Just trying to get the Task Sequence to activate before joining (moved join domain task down the list). Lets see if this works or breaks everything.
