As Bolton have joined with Blackburn (and Darwen) in their BSF bid, it would be interesting to share information about how this is being relayed to schools on both sides of Winter Hill.
It seems to me the managed service partners of the 3 preferred bidders are RM, Northgate and Redstone, but I'm prepared to be corrected, anybody on the Blackburn side had any information about how much of the current ICT provision at your end is likely to be swallowed up in the new managed service.
It looks like the Bolton bid has been accepted (at least in part). Hard to tell the details from the BN's rubbish reporting:
£82.9m schools plan gets go-ahead (From The Bolton News)
Quick update: It looks like Redstone are out. Again, high quality BN reporting:
Bolton firms urged to bid for school building work (From The Bolton News)
RM vs Northgate.
Fiver on RM.

Yup, Redstone are out.
We reckon Northgate for the winner though... we'll see soon enough! Sept 11th I think?
Yeap... Northgate are confirmed... at last.
Their website has just caught up
Northgate appointed preferred bidder for ICT provision in Blackburn with Darwen and Bolton Councils’ BSF Programme.
