If you have the patience, try FreeBSD. You'll be amazed :D
I have tried Gentoo believe it or not :D didn't have the patience to actually get it running!!! :)
Kedit - it works just like notepad!! lol ...damn vi/ pico - have to read the docs every time I use those!
FreeBSD - yeah - I hear a spelling mistake in the manual necessitates a major bug release. Put in onto an old Sunspark off Ebay for a truly bombproof experience!
..oh yeah :) Installed Ubuntu Server using the LAMP setup - just gotta work out how to get at it now - 'connection refused' from WinSCP3 and Putty :(
