got samba 2, cant seem to get samba 3, beentrying forhours, anyone kind enough to help a tired noob?
Which distro? Where are you trying to get Samba from?
sorry,thought the tag would appear! i'm using debian lenny, i'm using the standard sources list which only seems to offer samba 2, all my attempts at downloading and installing samba 3 seem to go wonky.
I just apt-get installed samba on lenny and it pulled in v3.2.5 (according to the debs it pulled down)
