I've been running it since the alpha and loving it. The more I use it, the more I hate the thought of going back to Windows. (It was windows 7 being more of the same that drove me to Ubuntu in the first place).
I'd recommend Jaunty to anyone - the more I use it, the more nice little features I find and the more I love it.

Not really a criticism; 8.10 basically worked and I'd hope 9.04 would also work so I'm wondering what's more promising about it?
Lets hope they fixed it so Xorg doesnt bomb out after installation if you have 2 gfx cards leaving you at the console with no GUI because you have to go into the config and tell it what adapter to use!
I think a broken X install is tradition with Ubuntu upgrades, it just wouldn't be the same without it.
8.10 was quite widely criticised as it never felt 'finished'. It was relatively unstable compared to some prior releases. 9.04 is supposed to solve that, being less of a feature release, and more of a stability and bug squashing release. AFAIK anyway.Quote:
